It is with a great sense of pride that we, Jonathan and Emelie DeMont of Windsor, have acquired Lindsay Windsor Funeral Home. Effective immediately, operations and any future inquiries may be directed to our funeral home at 419 Albert Street in Windsor (902-798-8317 or 902-798-2232).

The acquisition of Lindsay Windsor Funeral Home has not come about hastily and the care and concern of the families that have put the trust in Lindsay’s for many decades has remained in the forefront. We take great pride in the fact that we are able to secure the legacy of Lindsay’s and build upon it within our own operations at 419 Albert Street.

Jonathan DeMont started his career with Lindsay’s in January 1998. Jonathan has always held a great respect for Lindsay’s as well as much sentimentality for their history and staff that have cared for families of Hants County. Intertwining Lindsay’s within the fabric of Jonathan and Emelie’s business at 419 Albert Street brings an immense amount of pride.

Please know that for those who have prearrangements plans with Lindsay Windsor Funeral Home that these are safe and still held with high regard. We pledge to honour those agreements and treat every client we serve with dignity and respect.

Our firm is one of great storied history. From humble beginnings by Ira B. Lohnes in 1922, to succession by Les and Faye Beazley in 1968, then Paul and Barb Beazley in 1998, to us taking over in 2005 to present. Over 100 years of continued, local family ownership serving the people of Hants County. The historical significance of a local family-owned business continuing to serve isn’t taken lightly and us and our staff here at DeMont’s pledge to continue to uphold that tradition for many years to come.

If you are unfamiliar with our family-owned business and want to know us and our staff more, please do not hesitate to contact us or visit us here at 419 Albert Street. We may be tucked away off the main streets but we are easily accessible with plenty of on-site parking for family and guests.
