Obituary of Barbara Jean Haines

Please share a memory of Barbara to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Of Windsor, formerly of South Rawdon, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, one week after celebrating her 80th Birthday. The days preceding her unexpected passing were filled with joyful gatherings, special visits and traditions celebrating her milestone birthday, memories her family and friends will cherish.

Born March 17. 1946, Barb had a great sense of adventure and enjoyed collecting mementos (like her famous rock collection), from everywhere she went. She enjoyed all things puzzles and Star Trek and she loved to read, leaving behind an impressive library.

In her later years she became an avid fan of Acadia Axeman Hockey, tuning in to AVR Radio, listening to every game and texting her family play by play updates.

Barbara had strong faith. As a member of South Rawdon Baptist Church and later Windsor Baptist Church and Harvest House, she was surrounded by faith, fellowship and community and built many lasting friendships.

Barbara is survived by daughters, Jacqueline Haines, Hantsport; Sandra Haines, Windsor; grandchildren, Heidi, Jeremy, Naomi Brannen, Miranda, Dylan Leopold and Candace; great-grandchildren. Hunter, Kayden, Hudson and lan; sisters, Phyllis (Jeff) Tutty, Pauline Blois and Maxine (Gary) Demmings; nieces and nephews, John (Sarah) Tutty, Beth (Anthony) Bernard, Jennifer (the late Allison "JR") Beals, Jill (Jason) Hudgins, Brian (Erin) Demmings, Laura (Everett) Porter and Sarah Demmings; great-nephews and nieces, Brent, Anna, Alex, Ben, Tyrell (Taylor), Jalisa, Hannah, Dawson, Audrey, Henry, Skyler, Zoe and Molly.

Barbara was predeceased by her parents, John Mason and Carrie "Alberta" (Dimock) Blois of South Rawdon; and former husband, Garnet Haines.

The family extends a special thank you to Paramed Home Care workers, VON, private homecare workers, Christina and Kattie and footcare nurse, Krista, whom mom had a special bond with.
