Obituary of Audrey Charlotte Faulkner

Age 94, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 in Windsor Elms Village, Falmouth. Born December 30, 1931 in Lockhartville, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Bessie (Walsh) Pitts.

Audrey was a homemaker and took great pride in caring for her family and was a wonderful mother. She was a wonderful cook and baker. Audrey enjoyed going four wheeling with her husband Fred, enjoying the outdoors, including her many gardens; she very much had a “green thumb”. Later in life, she got great enjoyment out of attending the many jam sessions around the community.

She is survived by her children, Charlotte (James) Partridge, Falmouth; Bill (Sandra) Faulkner, Lockhartville; Fred Faulkner, Hants Border and Susan (Benny) Quinn, Mount Denson; sisters, Mary (John) Faulkner and Noreen (Norman) Murphy; brother, Gary (Marion) Pitts; sisters-in-law, Mary Doyle, Shirley Clark, Margaret Pitts and her very special sister-in-law, Shirley Sanford; brother-in-law, Gary (Pat) Faulkner; grandchildren, Brian (Suzanne), Kevin (Sabrina), Cathy (Kevin), Travis, Ryan (Tiffany), Cody (Kat), Amy (James), Laura (Devin) and Adam (Katelyn); great-grandchildren, Libby, Brianna, Ella, Simone, Jayden, Cameron, Hannah, Hunter, Kassidi, William, Kyler, Lucas, Paige, Ainsley, Maverick, Michaela and Logan; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Audrey was predeceased by her husband, Fred L. Faulkner (2005); sisters, Florence, Betty, Faye, Phyllis and Judy; brothers, Richard, Bob, Jimmy and Lawrence; great-grandson, Michael (2020).

Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert Street, Windsor (902-798-8317). A funeral service celebrating Audrey’s life will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, April 9 in DeMont Family Funeral Home Chapel. A reception will follow in the funeral home’s Elmcroft Reception Centre.
