Obituary of Stephen "Paul" Hartt
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Paul, age 69, of Mount Denson, after a short battle with cancer on Thursday, April 2, 2026, in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Windsor on October 5, 1956 he was a son of the late Carleton and Elizabeth “Betty” (Moore) Hartt.
Paul worked a number of years for Hants Co-op in Windsor and then was employed at Minas Basin Pulp & Power Company for 33 years.
He is survived by his spouse, Cindy Bourque; sister, Linda (Brian) Shay, Hantsport; brother, Terry (Verneice), New Minas; nieces, Danielle (Kyle) Shay, Greenwood, Courtney (Evan) Merks, Mount Denson and Chantel (lan) Brown-Hartt, Halifax; nephew, Carleton (Roni) Brown-Hartt, New Minas; great-niece and nephews, Reece Merks and Everleigh and Bo Brown-Hartt; lifelong friend, Steve Greenough.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Charles and Lillian (MacDonald) Moore and paternal grandparents Royce and Alfreda (Peach) Hartt.
Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). There will be no visitation or service as per Paul's request. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Paul may be made to Hope for Wild Life, 5909 Highway 207, Seaforth, NS, BOJ 2LO.
