Obituary of Gail Patricia Hall

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gail Patricia Hall. Born in Ottawa the spring of 1941, she slipped peacefully into God’s gentle and waiting arms in the early evening hours of Sunday, March 7th, 2021 in Halifax. Gail met the love of her life, Emerson Hall on a blind date. Her beauty, light, and laughter caught his eye and never waned. They married in September 1960 and began a love story that would last 60 years and beyond. Together they raised and nurtured a family that remained their greatest source of pride and joy. A generous and loving mother to Stacey Buffie (the late David), Deb Verge (Steve) and Scott Hall (Kenna). She was also a proud grandma to eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A devoted and loving sister to Gordon Flynn (Anita). Gail will be forever remembered with a smile on her lips, a twinkle in her eye, and a song in her heart. To those who knew and loved her, Gail was a woman of deep strength and many talents. A respected member of the health care profession for over thirty years, she successfully balanced a full-time career and a growing family while taking time to explore her own interests and nurture life-long friendships. Her home was always filled with joy and laughter, a place where friends felt like family and there was always room at the table. Her kind and generous spirit was rooted in a deep and abiding faith that touched us all and we are forever grateful and blessed. We would like to thank the staff at The Berkeley (Green St.), the sitters from Always Home and the doctors and staff of 8.4 at the Halifax Infirmary Site, QEII in Halifax, for their exceptional care and kindness.
