Obituary of Sheldon Tony Buffett
It is with deep sadness in my heart to announce the passing of Sheldon Buffett. He passed away peacefully at the Valley Hospice on Wednesday, May 17, 2023. He was a son of the late Cecil and Eva (Boch) Buffett. Born on September 6, 1949, Sheldon spent his early years in Wolfville.
While in Wolfville, he honed his lifelong skills of shenanigans and fun. He loved to tease and make people laugh. More fun than a barrel of monkeys. He was also a very hard worker and was self-employed as a brick layer for 42 years. He loved bowling and won many awards for tournaments. He also like to shoot pool, and fishing. He spent many years going south for a while in the winter.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Crystal; brothers, Gary and Donald; and sister, Joanne.
He is survived by his partner and love of his life, Mary; granddaughter, Sonia; and step grandchildren, Sarah, John, James and Andrew; all whom he loved very much. He also loved and cared deeply for all his friends and you know who you are.
Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317), where the Royal Canadian Legion, Dr. C.B. Lumsden, Branch No. 74, Wolfville will conduct a tribute service, immediately followed by a celebration of life all at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 31. Rev. Ellen Hunt officiating. A reception will follow in the funeral home’s Elmcroft Reception Centre. Interment will be held in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Sheldon may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, 5826 South St., Halifax, NS B3H 1S6.
