Obituary of Michele Barbara Rodgers

Please share a memory of Michele to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

We are sorry to announce the passing of Michele, of Windsor, on Monday, February 27, 2023.

Michele had a great sense of the ridiculous and carried it with her until the end. You never knew what to expect but you knew it was going to be memorable. The only thing greater than her sense of humour was her love of people. Her kindness and warmth were legendary and no one in her presence was ever left out or ignored. Her great passion was photography and her camera was never far from hand. She had a great eye for photography and was endlessly generous with her talent.

Michele worked for Statistics Canada for many years and was very involved in the union, particularly as it related to women.

Michele is survived by her great friend and partner, Marilyn Lamb; stepdaughters, Roberta Forsyth and Kate Forsyth (Aaron Eldridge); six step-grandchildren, Chloe Glazier-Forsyth (Dean), Ruby Forsyth, Nathan MacNeil, Liam MacNeil, Sam MacNeil, and Carson Eldridge.  She is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Parker Forsyth, and Tate Glazier-Forsyth.

She is predeceased by her parents, John and Gwen Rodgers; stepson-in-law, Tim Stewart, and grandson, Caleb MacNeil.

Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., PO Box 981, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0 (902-798-8317).  In keeping with Michele’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local SPCA or take a moment of your day to have a bit of fun with someone in her memory, and take a picture of it. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family by visiting: www.demontfamilyfuneralhome.ca
