I was so shocked to hear of Peter's passing. I worked the backshift (10pm-7am) at the Glooscap Tim Hortons just off the hwy and Peter was one of our regulars. We'd always expect to see his truck pull in between 2-3am. He'd walk in the door with a big smile on his face and yell out a greeting to us all. As soon as hed come through we'd get his drink and snack ready....always the same thing. He was such a sweet older gentleman, filled with stories of his life, his different occupations through the years and his kids. He kind of took on the roll of a grandfather type and I always looked forward to seeing him. Everyone who came through those doors knew him and theyd sit down and have a little chat. Sometimes he'd doze off and have a little nap by the fireplace in the store and he said he felt so comfortable there.
I'm so sorry to hear of his passing away, I was really truly saddened by the news. My thoughts are with all of you, his friends and family.

Peter was definitely a man who beat to his own drum but one thing that always remained consistent was his love of his family. The many chats I had with him over the years never went without him talking about his family with great pride! I know his adventurous spirit will be missed by you all.

So sorry to hear of Peters passing, we had a lot of great times at Pothier Motors, he did me more favours than i can count and was always there to help out, he even house sat for a week and looked after my dog, i will always remember the stories he told me about flying and working around the province, he will be missed.

Uncle Peter , you had such a presence about you. One that for me was always very comforting.I feel very fortunate to have spent many a good times together.
