Obituary of Carole Sue Peterson
Age 78, passed away Monday, November 25, 2019 in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Upper Falmouth, she was a daughter of the late Leroy and Lillian (Redden) Boyd.
Carole will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a true philanthropist and servant of her community, always putting everyone else first.
Carole was a special person. She was a lover of life and she lived it well. She was a nurse, served in the air force, worked as a pharmacy tech, was an author, a playwright, and worked many years at the hockey heritage museum.
She loved yard sales, pick parties, potlucks, tea parties, camping and long drives. She was an avid traveler and made friends wherever she went. She was a “people person”, a true social butterfly and loved doing plays with her Accidental Actors. She was deeply loved and will be sadly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Ron Robinson; sons, Chip (Sue-Ellen), Tom (Traci Curry) and Barry (Teresa); grandchildren, Nicole, Emma, Dustin, Parker, Laura, Rachel, Tyler and Ana; brother, Gordon and sister, Joan.
Besides her parents, Carole was predeceased by her sister, Shirley.
A funeral service celebrating Carole’s life will be held 11 a.m. Friday, November 29 in St. George’s Anglican Church, 465 Sangster Bridge Rd., Upper Falmouth, Rev. Tom Henderson officiating. Private family interment will follow in St. George’s Anglican Church Cemetery. High tea will be held from 1-3 p.m. in the Falmouth Community Hall, 147 Falmouth Back Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Carole may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Cremation has taken place under the direction of DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317).
