I was very surprised to hear of this passing. Superman is supposed to live forever, and to me , as a young boy living in Falmouth that's what Wayne Boyd was to me. He would have been in mid 30's when I met him. and he was a powerhouse of a man, muscles on muscles, but one of the kindest "strong men" I had ever met.
He would stop by the house in Falmouth for coffee with my mom, and always took the time to chat with us kids. He was always very good natured and had a booming, infectious laugh. Before my mother passed,(Joan Carey) we had chatted about those visits, and she cherished his friendship and visits as much as we children did.
RIP Wayne. You were one of the good ones......
