Obituary of Eva May Chambers
Age 86, of Brooklyn, Hants Co., passed away peacefully Thursday, September 26, 2019 in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born on May 28, 1933 she was a daughter of the late Henry and Albertha (Brown) McLellan.
Eva was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a homemaker her entire life only working outside of the home when helping harvest crops to make a little spending money. She loved to quilt and was made a honourary member of the Hants Community Hospital Auxiliary, for all her quilts she made and donated over the years. She also enjoyed watching her birds and “chippies” (chipmunks).
She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.
Eva was predeceased by her husband, Neil Chambers; brothers, Lewis and Emery McLellan; sister, Ellen Chambers.
The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors of unit 200 at Hants Community Hospital for their compassion and care shown Eva during her stay there. Your dedication did not go unnoticed.
Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). A funeral service celebrating Eva’s life will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 2 in DeMont Family Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Garnet Parker officiating. Interment will immediately follow in St. James Anglican Cemetery, Brooklyn. Following interment, a reception will be held in the Brooklyn Civic Centre, 995 Highway 215, Brooklyn.
