Sincere condolences to the family Helen, Stephen and David and Holly and Zoey. Uncle Al to us kids and Terfie to everyone else was always the quick wit with a wink and a nod growing up. When there was a project underway we all stood back and marveled at the way he always knew just what to do especially around the scary world of things electrical. But at all family gatherings it was the quiet demeanor and the quick wit we will remember the most.

I have fond memories of Al from when he worked at Windsor Post Office, he was always so friendly. I met up with him randomly in Bedford one day at Tim Hortons, he was on his way back from treatment at hospital and I had just finished writing an exam. We had a great chat and he cheered me up more than me him. It was a honour to know him. Thinking of the family at this sad time. Rest In Peace Al.

To Helen, David, Stephen and Zoey, our heartfelt condolences.
Al will be remembered as the Uncle who saved Dad from electrocution... several times, knew all the best fish and chips spots anywhere in the province and created levity with every visit.

To Al's Family
I had the privilege of meeting Al in Kentville at Canada Post years ago. He always kept us informed about Hants County in particular Summerville. Al was always pleasant and attentive to any issues we had. Great Guy!

Dear Helen and Family,
So sorry to hear of Al's passing and realize that words cannot heal the hurting of losing a loved one, but we did enjoy the pleasure of having a man among us that enjoyed his life and was the life of any gathering. He can now rest in the arms of God.

Dear Helen and family,
My sympathy to all of you at this sad time.
I have wonderful memories of Al touring us around the Maritimes on my first visit from the west. He certainly knew all the unmarked connector routes not on formal maps plus all the inside scoop on the history of the area that only a born and raised Valley boy would know! Same as the cottage at Amherst Shore - he could have been a tour guide as he knew all the detail on the failed Chignecto Ship Railway that should be included but is not mentioned on the commemorative historical plaque. Although he was not in Truro long he certainly was known and greeted by first name ( plus a few hugs) by the waitresses at the local Fish and Chips restaurant when we went out to dine. Al will be fondly remembered.
Love to all.

Helen & Family:
On behalf of the Worshipful Master, The Officers and Brethren of The Shore Lodge #134, we want to express our most sincere condolences.
Al was not only a respected, active Masonic Brother of our Lodge. He was a mentor to our new Master Masons; he was an advisor and guide for our Officers; and a leader of our Past Masters.
No Lodge could ask for a better Brother or friend. He will be sadly missed, and remembered.
