Dearest Uncle Gord, Matt, Jenn, Andrew, and David, our deepest condolences from the Millers in Japan. She was very dear to my heart and I loved her very much. She had a special personality and was wonderful at making people happy, I always felt loved by her growing up and thought of her more as mom's sister than cousin. We were very fortunate to see her when the three of us came home and spent a wonderful summers day berry picking together. That is how I will always remember my Aunt Cappa, a beautiful person, on a beautiful day, picking berries with my beautiful wife and daughter. We love you and we miss you, with all our love from the Millers in Japan.

I still break a smile when I think of the day many years ago now when I was sitting at the pool at Sun n Fun in Sarasota Florida and I heard this voice booming "Heather Jarvis, Is that you?" I looked around in utter surprise and there she was, tall, slender and beautiful with a smile that shone everywhere, looking exactly like she did the 1st time I met her in 1967 when we both entered HCH school of nursing. Although I left that year due to illness she never forgot . I did not either. She was a wonderful person who had a glow all around her where ever she went. She was so proud of her kids and her Gordie. GORD, I know you will never be alone because her presence will be felt in every corner of your life. Hugs Heather and John Phillips

My heart is with all of you in the Callan and extended family. What hard news to hear about such a positive and energizing person like Cappa. I've thought about her a lot lately. She felt so much more like an aunt than a cousin to all of us and I always looked forward to a visit with her. What I remember most about Cappa is the wonderful energy she brought with her everywhere! A room became brighter when she walked into it. Her enthusiasm and zest for life were contagious and I looked forward to each and every visit.

Dear Gordie and Family.
I am truly saddened by the news of Cappa's passing. Cappa and I started Tai Chi on the same night and before the evening was over we had quickly bonded. We had made a pact together. "I won't quit if you won't quit" as we both found it quite difficult and often whined about the challenging moves. We really enjoyed each other's company and would often get " the look" in class as we would sometimes start laughing about the simplest thing. I loved Cappa and will truly miss her. She was a giving volunteer and supported all aspects of our community clubhouse in so many ways. I remember so many ‘giggles’ and laughs on and off the court . Sending deepest condolences to Cappa’s family. I don’t think she ever realized the impact she had on so many people.
You could never have a bad shift if Cappa was working. Her smile and laughter could light up the room. It was a sad day when she retired from Windsor Elms as she was so deeply loved by her co workers and families of our residents.
Today is even a much sadder day. Cappa may not be here in body, but she has left each of us with many wonderful memories. We will carry her with us always.
