Obituary of Cathryn Margaret "Cappa" Callan

Cappa passed away peacefully in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor on Tuesday, May 27, 2019.  All family members were constantly attending to her needs, supplying much love and care.

Born May 11, 1948 in Elmsdale, she was a daughter of the late Dr. Robert and Ritta (Day) Wright.

She is survived by husband, Gordie; sons, Matthew (Melanie), Andrew, David (Leah); daughter, Jennifer; grandchildren, Makayla, Riley, Connor, Hudson; brothers, David (Heather), Ken (Lynn); sister, Susan (John); as well as cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family would especially like to thank the doctors, nurses and support staff on the palliative care unit, who’s professionalism, dedication and compassion were beyond expectations.

Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). As per Cappa’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. A memorial for family and friends will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Cappa may be made to Hants Community Hospital Palliative Care, 89 Payzant Dr., Windsor, NS B0N 2T0.
