Joyce and family.
I am very sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. I became friends with him when you lived in Port Lorne and he worked at Britex. My wife Charlene and I enjoyed our time with Jerry. I considered him a friend and was missed him once you moved to Windsor. We have a metal sculpture Jerry made: a man holding a bar bell, mounted on a wooden block. He did not want to sell it to us because it was one of his early works and not as good as he would have liked. That is why we chose that piece. I often think of him, even looked him up on line a few times.Once again our deepest condolences to you and your family.

To say Jer will be missed is an understatement. His forthright nature, quick laugh, and amazing talent are part of his legacy. My very first show here in Nova Scotia was with Gerald at his and Joyce's beautiful home. The show was called "passion" ( a title so very suiting of him ) Goodbye my friend - love and prayers to Joyce and her family - Jon and I will see you Thursday.

We were sad to read of Gerald's passing. Our first and memorable encounter with both Gerald and Joyce was at an art show just outside of Annapolis Royal. As it was the occasion of our 40th anniversary, Joyce coerced him into giving us a small but lovely metal bow that held a crystal in the centre. It is still a cherished gift in our house to this day. Over the years, other pieces joined the collection.
We were fortunate to have attended a few of the annual 'gatherings' at the Jank home, enjoying the outdoor (and indoor) artwork, live music and all things friendly and warm.

Dear Joyce and family. My heart breaks for you and your loss. No one can be prepared to deal with such a sudden passing. Jerry was such a talented artist in whatever medium he chose. I have always regretted losing the bidding war on one of his pieces at our auction at the Winery. Hants Community Hospiral Auxiliary lost a true supporter with his generous supply of his artwork and his behind the scenes design of promotional material but our loss is nothing compared to yours. Heaven just became a more beautiful place.
