Dear Virginia, I am sorry for your recent loss of Eric. I don't have a lot of memories of Eric but I have a few. I remember someone stuck a Christmas tree in the car you were using after your marriage. I also remember meeting you and Eric and a grandchild at Kingsport wharf and you had a camper. I believe the grandchild was Ben. I also treasure Eric being a pallbearer at my mother's funeral. I am sorry I was not at the funeral but I only learned of his death today, Saturday. I don't get the paper any more and I rely on Sheila to keep me up to date on any obituary. She only saw it today because she has been busy and just got around to the paper. We are both sorry we did not know in time to attend the memorial. My thoughts are with you and yours at this difficult time!

Virginia and family:
Thinking of you at this sad time. Eric was a friend and a good friend of Dint s in their early years, travelling, camping together. I remember when I worked at the School in the office, Eric would drop by, sometimes many times a day, with a penny that he found on the floor, and would put in on my desk and say 99 more and you will have a dollar, with his infectous smile. My thoughts are with the family at this time, have known Eric since I was a child, as a janitor at our school, spent my teens years hanging with Dwight and in later years always stopping to chat whenever I ran into him, Eric and Kay Stoddard led a cemetery tour in town one night and I joined the crowd and learned so much about the history of our great town, inc all the laughs we had about how this lady made the best cookies etc, still think about that night and the enjoyment myself and father in-law Leo Vaughan had, Eric you will be missed, thanks for all the memories.

Virginia and Family, I remember my years growing up in Hantsport. Eric was always in the Choir and you could not find a kinder more gentle person than Eric. Eric was a great Masonic Brother and friend. As the former Principal of Hantsport School, I would periodically have a question about the school's history. Eric always had the answer.

My sincere condolences to you all, along with everyone else have many fond and good memories of Eric and events on Porter's Ave and at HHS. I always enjoyed attending his outdoor movie theatre,his car waxing/detailing tips the main one to always use paste wax if you wanted a good long lasting shine. He loved to show and talk about his cars and always had a story to tell.
