Greg passed away peacefully on Monday, November 18, 2013. Born on July 22, 1936 in Verdun, Quebec to Lionel and Anne (Bell) Schofield. He was a quiet gentleman who loved to spend time with his family. He grew up in Windsor, and attended King’s College School. Greg worked for over 50 years in the General Insurance Industry and owned his own brokerage for over 35 years. He was for many years, Chairman of the Windsor Recreation Commission and a loyal supporter and member of the Windsor Tennis Club. He played gentlemen’s hockey and was a member of the Avon Valley Golf Club. Greg was also Past President of the Windsor Gyro Club.He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sheila; children, Ted (Nicole), Anne (Darren) and Patrick (Sherri); grandchildren, Brandon, Bruen, Ava, Bradford and Holly; sister, Georgia (Jean Guy) Dion and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Bev Lyttle and the Palliative Care Team, Dr. Mark Kazimirski, Dr. Teresa Machel and special friend, Judy.Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). Funeral service will take place 2 p.m. Friday, November 22 in Christ Church Anglican, King St., Windsor, Rev. David Curry officiating. Private interment will be held in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor. A reception will follow in the funeral home’s Elmcroft Reception Centre. Family flowers only.
