Tim Garrison posted a condolence
Sheila and Family, Annie and I are so sorry to hear of the passing of Greg. I write this with a heavy heart. I've known many of the family for a long time now as being a Garrison originally from Sambro purchasing insurance. My Dad (Murray Garrison) took me as a young boy to the office when he would go to see Greg and again took me into the office to purchase insurance on my first car. From the first time I met your family it has always been more friends that business. Greg, Ted and especially Pat and I have had many chats in the office over the years. In my eyes Greg would be the closest definition of a true gentleman as you can get and will be missed greatly. Again our condolences and appologize that I unfortunately will be out of the provice until Dec. Thinking of you all at this time, Tim and Annie

I am very sorry to hear about Mr. Schofield's passing. I was introduced to him through my father, Frank Dougherty, and was a client of his for many years. I will always remember him as a gentle soul. Whenever I called him about a claim or to complain about my premium, which wasn't his fault, he would always have reassuring words and by the end of the call I would feel a lot better. And we would never have a conversation without him asking about my mom and dad and wondering how they are. He was a very kind gentle man and one of those people in life who you were glad to have known. My thoughts and prayers go out to you at this difficult time.

John Ley and Family posted a condolence
It was with a heavy heart this morning that I learned of Greg's passing. When I think back on the years growing up in Windsor I only have only the fondest memories of the "gentle giant" across the street. No matter how crazy the situation on Clockmaker Lane got(yes, Ted and Pat there were lots of those) Greg was always a rock, as even keeled as a man could be. I never saw him utter anything but a kind word and his caring and compassion for those around him always shone through in his easy and gentle manner. He was a pillar of the community in the truest sense and will be sorely missed. Please accept my sincerest condolences.

I'm writing to say just that I am thinking of you 4 right now. Not having seen Greg in a couple of years, I'm finding this all very hard to believe. I tried to work out a way of flying down for the funeral today, but it was just too expensive, I'm sorry to say. I just couldn't do it. I'm sure you know just how much he meant to me and Kristen and Mum. Again, I wish I could be there today. We'll be home at Christmas, and hopefully we'll be able to see some of you then. Again, my deepest condolences. Geoff, Denise, Gabriel and Isaac.

My condolences to your family at this time of loss. Over 30 years ago a fortune teller told me a tall, dark haired man was going to offer me a job. One evening Greg arrived at my door with the name of an insurance company opening an office in Halifax. I have always felt I had him to thank for my career in the insurance industry.
Bill Chernin posted a condolence
Hello everyone, I know what a terrible time this must be. I wish I had been able to come to Windsor with Kristen and Marilyn but unfortunately I wasn't able to. Greg was a gentleman, as everyone says. His sense of hospitality was very great and I liked him very much. I felt I knew him much better then I probably did (my feeling of familiarity was much greater than the number of times we were actually able to hang out) but that was because of his warmth and sincerity. That is something I find to be evident in all of you. I am truly saddened by Greg's passing, as are we all. You are all in our thoughts and we are all sending you our best wishes. Sincerely, Bill
