It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Cheryl “Sherry” Chislett, of Martock, on Sunday, December 8, 2024, in the Halifax Infirmary Site, QEII, Halifax, at the age of 65. Sherry was born on November 26, 1959 in St. John’s, NL to Sadie (Sooley) Rowe and the late Alexander “Alex” Rowe. She lived a life defined by resilience, compassion and a vibrant sense of humor that touched everyone she met.

Cheryl faced and overcame incredible adversity throughout her life, channeling her strength into helping others navigate their own struggles. Her kindness, wisdom and unwavering support made her a source of inspiration to family, friends and all who knew her.

Fun-loving and quick with a joke, Cheryl had an extraordinary ability to lift spirits and bring joy to any room. She will be remembered not only for her strength and generosity but also for her infectious laughter and love for life.

She is survived by her loving husband, Rick; devoted children, Jennifer and Justin (Debby); and cherished grandchildren, Evan, Ollie and Remy, who were the light of her life. She also leaves behind her beloved mother, Sadie and sister, Wanda (Tony), who were both her confidante and best friend.

Sherry was preceded in death by her father, Alex Rowe, whose memory she carried with her always.

Cheryl’s spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched and she will be deeply missed, but forever remembered.
