Wendy was a cheerleader when I played high school sports. We hung out with the same crew - Marina Lane, Jim Crowell, Robin Veinot etc. we got into too much fun and trouble to go into here. I loved her energetic spirit!! I am very sad to hear of her passing too soon.

Wendy and I met through animal rescue. She fostered many dogs for me. I loved going to her place on the Rawdon Road. She would beg me to come get duck eggs because she was overrun. She and Bill brought Moxie, as a puppy, for a visit right after she got her. Wendy was so happy. I will miss Wendy's non-nonsense and sass. She was an awesome lady and a great friend.

It’s Friday June 7th @3pm and I am just reading, with a very heavy heart, of Wendy’s passing. This simply breaks my heart. I met Wendy through dog rescue and needless to say she taught me so much. I had moved away but returned in 2017 and in 2018 I went to visit Wendy at the farm. We had a wonderful visit, I got to meet Sheldon, and re-visit with Oakley. Wendy my dear, I will treasure our friendship always. Bless you my friend, you are now at peace and with Bill. xo

So so sorry to hear of Wendy’s health problems and passing, but how like her to make her own decisions right to the end!
My most vivid memories of Wendy are during our highschool days…her Newfoundland dogs ( I’m 100% sure my mother wouldn’t let me have 1 let alone 3 in our house!) and going to see Jesus Christ Superstar in Wolfville. I’ve seen JC Superstar several times since as an adult but none impacted me more than watching that first production with the gang from Hants West!

Wendy was like a second Mom to me in high school when Anne and I spent time together at their house in Centre Burlington. She was so giving of her time, energy and love. I met Wendy when she cared for my children's father, Sean. Wendy loved our children and our animals like her own. I remember as time went on, Wendy eventually met Bill and a new life began for her. So many fond memories of Wendy. I've known Wendy and Jimmy since grade 5. Lots of good times. Many afternoons at the McKay house,during our free periods at Hants West.
