HILTZ, Ralph Alton Boyde - 64, Millville, Kings Co., passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2013, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Millville, he was a son of the late Boyde A. and Florence M. (Daniels) Hiltz.In his early years, Ralph worked at Berwick Bakery, M.W. Graves Ltd., as a back hoe operator for Standard Paving and drove a dump truck for Max Hudges. His main occupation was owning and operating his own mixed farm that included beef, hogs, fruits, vegetables, making strawberry flats and recycling scrap metal. Ralph was a member of St. Mary's Anglican Church, Auburn.Surviving are his wife, O. June (Wood) Hiltz; sons, Allan and Bruce, Millville; daughter, Deanna (Jonah Goulden), Aylesford; sister, Pauline (Lester) Bradley, Haggar, Ont.; several nieces, nephews and cousins; many good friends, including Wayne Zwicker, Victoria Harbour. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Charlotte.Arrangements have been entrusted to Bryce Johnstone of DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service (902-538-8317). Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m., Monday, in the Morristown Community Centre, 10 Prospect Rd., Morristown. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 22, in St. Mary's Anglican Church, 20 Morden Rd., Auburn. Rev. Maya Bevan officiating, with burial in the church cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Valley Regional Hospital Foundation or to the QE II Health Sciences Centre Foundation.
