Obituary of Beverly Joseph Morash

Age 87 of Windsor, passed on Saturday, December 10, 2022, peacefully at home with his wife by his side. Bev was born in Windsor on August 24, 1935, one of seven children, to the late Gordon and Daisy (Reeves) Morash.

 

Bev grew up farming and continued his love for farming through his life. He worked at Fundy Gypsum for over 44 years doing numerous jobs and hauled water for many years. Bev very much enjoyed being a member of Christ Church in Windsor and his duties there.

 

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jacoba (van Vessem) Morash; his children, Michael (Kerry) Morash, Brian (Tracy) Morash, Gregory (Nancy) Morash and Marianne (Joey) Peters; his grandchildren, Chad Morash, Jack (Allison) Morash, Julie Morash, Kason and Kaitlyn Peters; great-grandchild, Isabelle Morash; sisters, Marion Watts and Eleanor Duncanson; brothers, Ralph Morash and Harold Morash.

 

Besides his parents, Bev was predeceased by his brother, Edward Morash and his sister, Eva (Bill) Gates.

 

Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). No public visitation, by request. A funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 14 in Christ Church Anglican, 543 King St., Windsor, Rev. David Curry officiating. The family requests masks be worn. Private interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bev may be made to Christ Church Anglican, PO Box 2664, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0.
