Obituary of Mildred Christine Schofield
Age 96, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022 in Dykeland Lodge, Windsor. Born in Hants Border, she was the daughter of the late Ebenezer and Sarah (Hutchinson) Beckwith.
She was a former member of the Hantsport Historical Society, Lockhartville Womens’ Institute, Mount Denson Garden Club, King's Daughters, Red Hatters, Windsor and Hants Border Tops and Hantsport Tea Room Artists. Mum enjoyed gardening, cooking, camping and painting and became quite an accomplished artist in oils, acrylics and water colours.
She is survived by sons, Ed (Cathy), Windsor; Stan (Lolly), Mount Denson; daughter, Debbie, Kentville. She also leaves behind six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Mildred was predeceased by her first husband, Alfred Kerr and second husband, Laurie Schofield; brothers, Stanton, Wilfred, Ross, Don, John, Lee and Cecil; sister, Helen Robinson and infant sister, Abbey.

Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). A funeral service celebrating Mildred’s life will be held 2 p.m. Monday, November 28 in Hantsport Baptist Church, 6 Willow St., Hantsport, Rev. Jennifer Riley officiating (masks are encouraged). Private family interment will follow in Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport. A reception will be held in the Wellwood Community Hall. Family flowers only.
