I was so sorry to see my cousin has died. I’ve been trying to find my Canadian family for so long and while searching Google I find this obituary, it left me shocked and saddened.
After my dad, Fred, died a few years ago we weren’t able to find any contact details for Auntie Gwenda and her family, I’m still searching.
Please pass my condolences on and I hope you are able to pass on my contact details.

You will be greatly missed dad. Even though I wasn't blood and just some kid your oldesr met at school. Over the many years you always treated like I was one of your boys and included me in many of things the boys did. Even as a young boy when I would come over for sleep overs and you would even give me a hug and kiss goodnight so i wouldnt feel left out. Thank you for being how you were and giving me good example on how to be a man. I'll miss you dad.

Another friend gone too soon. I remember one evening I fell and Mark just sat down beside me and started talking about this and that until I was ready to get up again. Sending warm hugs to his family.

Our hearts are with all of you as you wade through the waves of grief. Mark was always a happy go lucky kinda guy. We have a couple funny memories of Mark. The first time he came to our cottage, I was refinishing a dresser. He asked where he could find worms so he could take the boys fishing. Barry told him under the logs by the garden. He goes off and comes back with a large garter snake. He thought it was a fun prank. Little did he know I am terrified of snakes. Poor guy was so dumbfounded. Another time we were cross country skiing with your parents, going along the trail to the dump. Mark wanted to go first. He did. Right into a tree. We couldn't help him for laughing. He was a phenomenal scout leader to so many boys. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. We were proud to be considered his friends.

So very sorry to hear of Mark's passing. My thoughts and prayers to all of you. I remember fond memories of Mark and the boys up north camping. Crash up derby, and a few funny stories told by Mark on your vacation to the east coast. Blessings Patricia
