Obituary of Stephen Douglas Gaudet

Age 64, of Hantsport. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Steve in the Hants Community Hospital on Monday, September 12, 2022. Born on March 10, 1958, he was a son of Emilier and Yvonne (Belliveau) Gaudet.

Steve lived in Hantsport his entire life and he was a well-respected member of the community. He was known for his kind, calm, gentle personality. He worked at Minas Basin, then CKF as a machinist/millwright until his retirement in 2017, although he didn’t relax for long. Steve was a master of all trades. When he wasn’t busy helping his friends and family with odd jobs, you could find him strumming his guitar at Fox Mountain, working on one of his toys or watching sports.

Besides his parents, Steve is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Jane (Burke); children, Joe (Brianna), Ryan (Ashley), Kerri-Ann, Justin (Lindsey), Callie; grandchildren, Corson, Cohen, Cameron, Sadie, Brody, Nora, Myla, Esme; brothers, Jim (Annette) and John; sister, Lisa; many nieces, nephews, and his Fox Mountain family.

Steve was predeceased by his grandson, Deacon at birth.

Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). There will be no visitation or funeral service by request.
