BARRON, Amina Pearl – 78, Aylesford, Kings Co., passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2012, in the Grand View Manor, Berwick.Born in Kennetcook, she was a daughter of the late John W. and Delina M. (Singer) Anthony.Amina trained as a Registered Nurse at the I.W.K. Hospital, Halifax. She had work at St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, Manitoba, while her husband was posted there. Amina and her family moved to Aylesford in 1966, and then worked as a night nurse at the Western Kings Memorial Hospital, Berwick, until her retirement. She was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren. Amina enjoyed knitting, crossword puzzles, outdoor activities and time spent at the beach.Surviving are her husband, Robert A. Barron; son, Robert (Betty), Aylesford; daughters, Sandra (Jim) McLean, Coldbrook; Christine Stoddart, Dempsey Corner; Kathleen (Robert) Lutz, Weltons Corner; grandchildren, Michael McLean, Katie (Nic) Schofield; Geoffrey, Christopher and Tyler Barron; Seth and Amina Stoddart; William and Daniel Lutz; brothers, Ken (Linda) Anthony, Halifax; Barry (Robin) Anthony, Beach Meadows; sisters, Eva MacDonald, Dartmouth; Karen (Layton) Lynch, Earltown; sister-in-law, Hilda (Clyde) Blois, Gore; several nieces and nephews.Arrangements have been entrusted to Bryce Johnstone of DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service (902-538-8317). There will be no visitation. A service of remembrance and reception will take place at 2 p.m., on Friday, January 4, in the Aylesford United Church, 2414 Hwy No. 1, Aylesford, with burial in the Kennetcook Cemetery, at a later date.Donations in her memory may be made to the Grand View Manor or to any charity.Messages of condolence may be sent to the family by visiting: www.demontfamilyfuneralhome.ca
