Obituary of Heather Alice Fletcher

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Heather A. Fletcher of Windsor, at the age of 70, on Sunday, July 10, 2022 in Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Windsor on November 17, 1951, she was a daughter of the late Gilbert “Gil” and Harriett “Haddie” (Barker) Smith.

 

Heather enjoyed her walks through town and stopping in places to shop and chat.

 

She is survived by her daughter, Katrina (Andrew) Rogers; son, Jeff (Diane); brother, Gary (Carol Hale) Smith; granddaughters, Alyssa Rogers and Kendall Fletcher; grandsons, Blake Rogers and Owen Fletcher. Besides her parents, Heather was predeceased by her sister, Diane, in infancy.

 

Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317), where the family will receive visitors 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, July 13 (masks encouraged). Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, July 14 in DeMont Family Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Garnet Parker officiating (masks encouraged). Interment will immediately follow in Ste. Croix Cemetery, St. Croix. Flowers welcome. Donations in memory of Heather may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
