Obituary of Greta M. Walsh

WALSH, Greta May — 88, of Lockhartville and Dykeland Lodge, Windsor, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2012, surrounded by her loving family, in Dykeland Lodge. Born in Lockhartville on December 11, 1924 she was a daughter of the late Gordon and Minnie (Tracey) Smith.

Greta is survived by her husband of 70 years, Ronald; son, Grant (Rose Marie), Inverness; daughters, Sylvia (the late James Smith), Mt. Denson; Cheryl (Harley) Rhodes, Lockhartville; sister, Alfreda Smith, J.B. North Manor, Hantsport; grandchildren, Natalie (Charles) MacLean, Port Hawkesbury; Paul (Angela) Walsh, Windsor, Ont.; Gregory (Sherry) Smith, Ben Jackson Rd., Lockhartville; Andrew Smith (Marlene), Mt. Denson; Jason (Michelle) Smith, Bog Rd., Falmouth; Brodie Rhodes, Lockhartville; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Ceilidh, Zachary, Charlie, Austin, Michael, Michelle, Kyle and Nathan; great-great grandson, Leo. She was predeceased by brothers, John, William, Grant and Charlie.

A combined graveside funeral service for Greta and Ron will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 29 in Lower Horton Cemetery, Grand Pré, Rev.
