It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Sheila, on Monday, January 3, 2022, at home. Born in Wentworth on November 27, 1943, she was a daughter of the late James and Blanche (Boyd) Mason. Sheila spent her working career of over 30 years at the Hants Community Hospital, where she made many friends and created many fond memories over the years. Since retirement, she enjoyed doing crafts, spending weekends at the camp, and volunteering her time to help others. Being a proud Grandma to Emily and Luc was her special role. She always claimed that she could never not spoil them. Sheila will be deeply missed by her husband, Stewart; daughter, Ella Marsh-Seaver (Connor); granddaughter, Emily Marsh-Seaver (Mark Donnelly); grandson, Luc Marsh-Seaver, all of Oshawa, Ont.; sisters, Barb (Ken) Fleming, Oshawa, Ont.; Betty (Bill) Hunter, Brooklyn, Ont.; Ida Shaw, Windsor Forks; June (Frank) Lorencovitch, Falmouth; brothers, James (Adeline) Mason, Brooklyn, Ont., Gray (Heather) Mason, Oshawa, Ont.; sister-in-law, Winnie Mason, Wasaga Beach, Ont.; as well as, many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sisters, Eleanor Edwards, Catherine Urquhart, Judy Matheson, Margie Logan; brothers, Robie, William “Billie”, Robert “Bubby”, Donnie, Harold and John “Jake”. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the first responders (911 operator, paramedics, fire and police) for their care and assistance provided. Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). Due to COVID-19 restrictions a private service by invitation only will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Kevin Cox officiating. Proof of COVID-19 double vaccination and ID must be shown on arrival and masks must be worn. Interment will follow in Ste. Croix Cemetery.
