Obituary of Winnie M. Pinch

The family will receive visitors, prior to the funeral service at 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 31 in Cambridge Baptist Church, 5981 Hwy No. 1, Cambridge. PINCH, Winnie May  - 92, Cambridge, Kings Co., passed away on Monday, December 24, 2012, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Cambridge, she was a daughter of the late John and Mabel (Rogers) Usher.Winnie had worked in the Canning Factories in Waterville and Berwick and later was employed at Webster Farm, Cambridge.  She enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking, and making homemade bread. Winnie was devoted to her family and was always actively involved in her community. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.Surviving are sons, Douglas (Colleen), Waterville Mountain Road; Bruce (Audrey), Kingston, Ont.; daughter, Sandra Kane, Cambridge; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Oron W. Pinch; brothers, Henry, Leslie, John and Ira Usher; sisters, Florence Reeves, Elsie and Betty Pynch.Arrangements have been entrusted to Bryce Johnstone of DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service (902-538-8317).
