Obituary of Dorothy Joan Burnett

Age 84, passed away peacefully in the Windsor Elms Village, Falmouth on Friday, October 15th, 2021. Born on November 25th, 1936, in Chester, she was a daughter of late Paul and Margaret (Fuller) Cornelius.
Mom moved to Halifax in her late teens to find work. There, she found work and met and married her navy sailor, Gerald. They were together until his passing in 2003. Dorothy loved to laugh, animals and sometimes people. Visitors were welcomed with open arms, for an hour, then it was time to go. Dorothy adored her family and spending time at the cottage.
Dorothy leaves behind her daughter, Troi-Lynn of Dartmouth; son, Thane (Brigitte) of Brampton, Ontario; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one grand-dog.
Besides her parents and her husband, Gerald she was predeceased by her brother, Paul and sister, Mary Elizabeth Bingham.

Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). There will be no service as requested.
