Please share a memory of WO Ret'd Raymond to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Age 85, of Falmouth, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 3, 2021 in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, surrounded by his family. Bud was born in Windsor on December 15, 1935 to the late Gordon and Estella (Lynch) Frizzell. He enlisted in the Canadian Air Force at the age of 17 and served 33 years until his retirement. Not content to sit still, he spent the next 14 years working and managing the National Bowling Lanes/Eastern Bowling Centre in Windsor. He always had a big smile for all of the patrons at the lanes and could be found chatting with customers in one of his favourite places, the grocery store. Bud will be intensely and dearly missed by his wife of 63 years, Mary (MacNeil); daughters, Jana (George States); Tara (Roy Khoury) and Lianne; grandchildren, Marya Khoury and Taylor Frizzell-Keizer; brother, Edward (Elizabeth) Spruin. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Gordon, Fred, Ronald “Jake”; sisters, Mary and Betty. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Dr. Cathryn Smith and staff of Unit 200 at Hants Community Hospital, for their care and concern. Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private graveside service will take place at a later date in St. John the Evangelist Parish Cemetery, Wiley Ave., Windsor. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bud may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia, 112-2719 Gladstone Street, Halifax, NS B3K 5J7 (1-800-611-6345).
