My heartfelt condolences go out to Adele's family and her special friend Jackie. I met Adele through my cousin Shirley (McCann) Arsenault (1929 - 2014). Shirley would invite "the girls" over to her house twice a year when Myrtle Moore visited from The United States. I met Adele at Shirley's 'get togethers,' where we had wonderful talks and where we formed a good friendship. In between our 'get togethers' we had many telephone conversations, discussing all the current news. I miss you Adele, I will always remember fondly the good times we had together.

Adele has known me for my entire life - she was my very special Godmother! Adele was a dear friend to our family and a best friend to Mom (Shirley Arsenault) since they were young girls. I recall Saturday morning visits with Adele when the coffee and bran muffins were on the menu. I also have a 50 year old memory of visiting with Adele at her apartment in Dartmouth and it seemed like big-city life and I especially remember the delicious carrot cake that Adele made and served us. It's a special recipe that we still have today. We have always kept in touch with Adele and have too many memories to mention. Adele always had a great sense of humour and a wonderful memory and each visit was like a history lesson about Windsor. Adele was our last "family" connection to Windsor and we will miss that dearly. We can all be comforted by our fond memories of Adele.

Sincere condolences to the Hashem family and dear friend Jackie who was so good to Adele .
Adele has been a big part of our lives as long as I can remember - from the time we were little kids growing up on Wiley Ave until her passing last week , she has always been a special friend to the family . She loved to share her family stories and had a wonderful sense of humor which made for lots of laughs during our visits over the years . We will remember those times fondly, and often . Adele will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her .
Rest in peace Adele .
Love from Elizabeth ( Arsenault ) Colborne and Stuart

A tiny sweet lady ,,full of wonderful family stories and memories. My Dad, Fred Hashem always insisted as children when visiting family we definitely had to include a visit to his Aunt Adele. He would always emphasize that she was our connection to our family roots and history.Of course that was true, but her kindness ,brightness and thoughtful ways is what I will remember and cherish. You will always remain in our hearts and souls Aunt Adele..Love Val & family

Adele was truly a special lady and a wonderful Aunt. She was a big part of our family and a bright light in my life. No matter what she was going through our visits did not end without her asking "how are you doing dear" She had great compassion for others. I always admired her spunk and determination as well as her love of life and sense of humor. You will be missed my dear Aunt but never forgotten!

Adele and Martha lived across the street from my mother for many years. They were great friends. I so enjoyed Adele’s sense of humour and we always managed to have a laugh when I came back to Nova Scotia for a visit. RIP sweet lady.
