Ernie, I am so sorry to hear of Lorna's passing. I am some glad now that I visited Lorna and her husband when she was in the hospital during the big WRHS Reunion. She was a great friend to me in school and the only student I confided in about my health issues. She rode with me a few times on my little Honda 50. Such a great girl.

I worked with Lorna at Nova Scotia Supreme Court at Halifax. She was always lively, kind, and nicely dressed. She and I had some wonderful conversations. Lorna was like that; she'd always take the time to linger and chat even when busy. In a word, she was a lady.

To Lorna's Family:
We were so very sorry to hear of Lorna's passing. She was a lovely and kind lady that was quick to laugh. When the children were young I babysat for Lorna and Chris and had actually met Chris some time before I met Lorna.
They were a great couple to work for and showed so much love to their children. I will never forget making gingerbread men for the kids and Lorna always wanting them as much as Kevin and Christina.

A small paragraph could not sum up all the amazing things about Lorna. Lorna was the definition of “zest for life”. She was talented, creative, funny and kind. I learned so much from working with her. She will be greatly missed by so many people. I often thought about her after she retired and am lucky enough to have a few paintings to look at in remembrance of her beautiful soul. My prayers are with her family during this time. Lorna was a great long time friend and a very kind, loving, generous and thoughtful person. She will be sadly missed. Lorna and I always marvelled on how easily we could kill a day when we headed out on a girls day! We were always gone longer than we ever predicted but we always had fun. One day adventure we took a couple years ago shopping (of course ...you know lorna loved shopping), the movies and lunch. Well we realized after lorna got home she lost her wedding ring. We called all the places we went but didn't find it. The only thing we figured is her ring ended up in her popcorn bag when we went to the movies...so upsetting for lorna...but chris soon after replaced the ring with as close a facsimile as he could. Way to go chris! They certainly had a strong love for each other and chris has always been lorna's rock throughout their lives but especially so in these last few years. Gone but never forgotten... ❤❤❤

When I met Lorna in the early 1970s at Brewers Retail head office, I was immediately enamoured by her exuberance and joie de vivre. When I last saw her at a friend’s house in Ontario two years ago, I was so impressed with her positive mental attitude and could see how well she was handling her disability. I told her at the time she was my new hero. She always will be.

Joe and I are deeply saddened at the passing of our dear friend Lorna. We met when she started working in the accounting department of Brewers Retail head office in Toronto as secretary in the early 70's.
We quickly became close friends. Not surprisingly, Lorna always had a lot of friends. She was the type of person people gravitated to because of her outgoing and caring personality. She was the one you could always count on to be there for you through thick and thin. She will be greatly missed. Our condolences to Chris and the family.
