Grant,
A tough time for your family over the last while.
Your Mom did put up with us Bluff Road kids playing sports in the basement and backyard.
She also made the best popcorn and your parents were great neighbours.
Take care and our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
Marshall and Sally Dunbar

I have such fond memories of my childhood visits with Aunt Helen, Uncle Ray, and cousins Grant and Lois. Aunt Helen always made our visits special (they were typically overnight affairs). She had such a warm way of welcoming family from afar (my mother was Amy Racine nee Jeffrey). It is funny the things one remembers, and reading her obituary brought a smile to my face... in particular, I can certainly attest to her keeping a clean house - in fact, I used to grumble about her making me wash my feet with soap in the bathtub prior to crawling into bed (I guess my mother was less fastidious!). Another fond memory mentioned in her obituary was her love of song and hymns - this love was shared by her brothers and sisters, and like Aunt Helen my mother and her sister Florence loved to play piano and engage others in song, particularly hymns. We will hold you closely in our thoughts.

I was one of her nurses at Evergreen until I retired in December. I always enjoyed her , I always told her we made a good team. She would laugh and was always thankful for everything. We would hear her singing and reading out loud when we were nearby. I was surprised by her sudden passing but I am thankful it was peaceful and she is with her Lois. I will remember her with great fondness.
