Our sincere condolence Sandra, Sheri and to your family.
Living in Ontario we didn't see Mona and Dan a lot but when we did we enjoyed our visits. They were fun. Your Mom (and your Dad before) were fortunate to have Sandy and Sheri to support them with their health care.

Your mom was a customer of mine at Windsor home hardware and we certainly had some great chats and her humorous ways kept in stitches and your right she had idea how funny she truly was I will miss her and just know how she loved you all with all her heart and soul and she still with you just in a different way and now she is with your dad Danny now. Thank you so much for sharing your memory of our Mom. She certainly was a funny soul who made everyone laugh! We always said we need to have a video camera on her at all times.... as you just never know when she would make a funny comment. It makes us smile knowing other people got to see this side of her. Dear Sheri, Sandra, George, Kyle, Joshua, Matthew & the whole family,
I am so very sorry to hear of the sudden loss of your Mom. I know this must be just heartbreaking for you and so unexpected. Such a hard time after just losing Danny.
I loved Aunt Mona very much - as I did Uncle Danny.
Aunt Mona always surrounded the room with her warmth and love. Her infectious laugh lifted our spirits and made our hearts glad. If things were tough going for her, you wouldn’t know it. She always looked at the bright side and made us all forget our troubles.
I hold the memories of our family gatherings with Aunt Mona dear to my heart. Her fun loving silliness and lighthearted pranks and laughter made it so much fun. I always felt happy around her. Especially after eating her famous baked beans! :D These times were so special. It’s what makes family.
Aunt Mona was a rock to the family - by forging through rough waters and continuing on with her whole heart despite the trials. She was an example for all of us. She certainly did have a heart of gold and so much love. I will miss her greatly.

I have a memory of my Mom wanting Richard Keddy (Chief of police back then if I remember correctly) to come and talk to me as I started a fire across the street. I remember you talking to my mom saying "I think I scared her enough when I yelled at her" Just wanted you to know that you put a good scare into me, I hid in my closet and wouldn't come out for a very long time. Lol. Thank you for putting me on the straight and narrow path! :-)

So very sorry to hear of your moms passing. My sister Diane Carty, Mona and I grew up in Currys Corner. The 3 of us got together a couple years ago at Surf in Hantsport and wish we had done it again. I would like to say on behalf of Debby and myself (Girls from PEI Nova Scotia kitchen Party) how very sorry we are to hear of your moms passing. Mona was with us practically from the beginning of our shows. We are so blessed to have people like her who enjoyed us time after time just for our shenanigans and an old song or two.
