Obituary of Agnes Blanche Langille

Age 94, of Windsor passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 4, 2020, in Dykeland Lodge. Born in Upper Falmouth, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Alice Blanche (Carson) Cole. Aggie was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Aggie went to live with the Mason’s at the age of 15 and she thought of them as her family. She remained in close contact with them throughout the years. She was a Nanny for Dr. Turner’s family before being a hairdresser with her sister, Josie. She later went on to purchase Klip N Kurl with Glenna Newcombe where she worked at hairdressing until her retirement. She is survived by her special nieces, the Palmer sisters, Andrea, Cheryl, Rhonda and Jean; as well as other nieces and nephews and Goddaughter, Patty Cochrane-Koncovy. Besides her parents, Aggie was predeceased by her husband George A. Langille (Feb. 20, 2000); sisters, Rhoda Palmer, Olive Theresa Smith and Josie Gregoire; brothers, Hirman, at birth and Henry; special niece, Penny. Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8, at 2 p.m. in Christ Church Anglican, 531 King St., Windsor, with Rev. David Curry officiating. Due to COVID-19, physical distancing guidelines will be followed, masks must be worn and seating will be limited. An interment service will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, 1186 King St., Windsor. In lieu of flowers Aggie wishes donations in her memory to be made to Christ Church Anglican, PO Box 2664, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0; Friends of Dykeland, 124 Cottage St., Windsor, NS B0N 2T0 or charity of choice.
