Obituary of Fay Annette Walsh

Please share a memory of Fay to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Age 63, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 23, 2020 in VG Site, QEII Hospital, Halifax, with loved ones by her side and under the wonderful care of the Palliative Care Team. She was born June 3, 1957 in Windsor and was the daughter of the late Donald “Lewis” and Heloise “Orie” (Smith) Reynolds (of Upper Burlington). Fay was brought up in Upper Burlington, but lived most of her adult life in Windsor, where she worked and raised her two daughters. She worked in the financial industry most of her life, with an exception of a short time at Pothier Motors Ltd. in Falmouth. She enjoyed a good laugh, and spending time with her family and friends. Fay continued to be both feisty and hardworking despite her many health challenges over the past few years. She was our rock, never complaining and showed us all what bravery was about. She has crossed paths with many people over the years and will be remembered for her contagious smile, being a great friend to many and a wonderful Mom and Nana. She will be missed but not forgotten. She will be fondly remembered by her daughters, Ashley (Donald) Imlay, Garlands Crossing; Jackie Walsh (Neil MacDonald), White’s Lake; grandchildren, Rachael, Hunter and Carter Imlay, whom she loved dearly and were the light of her life; brothers, Ron (Joyce), Falmouth and Danny (Marilyn), New Minas. She also adored all of her nieces and nephews with whom she shared very special relationships with. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Clarey (of Falmouth) and Fred (of New Minas). The family would like to thank every healthcare provider who helped Fay along her health journey over the last four years, including all the workers in both New Glasgow and Halifax. Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert Street, Windsor (902-798-8317). A public graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, August 27th in Hillview Cemetery, Scotch Village, Rev. Garnet Parker officiating. COVID-19 social distancing guidelines must be followed, masks are recommended.
