Obituary of Patrick David Shaw

Age 29, of Windsor Forks, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 16, 2020. He was born July 3, 1991 in Halifax to David Shaw and Susan Williams. Dude started out his working life with Andy Frank as a roofer. He spent time out west in the oil patch where his good friend Mike Holland introduced him to the mechanical field. The last several years he was a private contractor as a diesel mechanic working for Maritime Diesel. He loved the outdoors, motorbiking, four by fouring, mudding and going for a ‘rip’ through the woods. He looked forward to the Burnt Lake trips with the boys every year! He was loved and adored by all who knew him. He had a personality and sense of humour that no one will ever forget. He is survived by his partner, Angie Sutherland; father, David (Julie Polstra), Windsor Forks; mother, Susan, Kentville; sister, Ashley (Matthew) Swinamer, Three Mile Plains; paternal grandmother, Vivian, Windsor Forks; maternal grandmother, Bette Williams, Windsor Forks; and several nieces, nephews and extended family. He was predeceased by his brother in infancy, Ryan David and twin sister at birth, Brittany Lynn; paternal grandfather, David Sr.; maternal grandfather, Arthur “Dee” Williams. Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert Street, Windsor (902-798-8317). There will be a private graveside service in Windsor Forks Community Cemetery. A celebration of Dude’s life will be held Saturday, August 22 from 1-4 p.m. in the Martock Pit, Ski Martock Rd. COVID-19 social distancing guidelines must be followed. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Dude may be made to a charity of one’s choice that supports animals or wildlife.
