So sorry to hear of the loss of your father. I remember Bob as a coach and a great contributor to the sport community. He was a founder with my father of Windsor Minor Sports. I still remember those green jackets and how excited and proud I was to get my jacket. Take care and enjoy the many fond memories.

The Bickerton Family--
Dear Friends-
So sorry to hear that Bob has passed away. We knew both Bob and Fran from our Windsor United Church family - both wonderful people. Peter had a close connection with Bob many years ago through minor hockey. Bob will be missed but remembered by the many happy memories he has left behind. Thinking of you with loving thoughts and sincere sympathy.

To the family
Your parents were always on my favourite list. I would be out walking, and end up at your house sitting by that wood stove talking. Your dad loved his family beyond words, and it was always catch up time on your comings and goings. I could never talk of your dad without mentioning your mom. She was so humorous in the Windsor Elementary staff room that she made it a joy to come to work everyday. How I miss them both. Windsor United Church, and our UCW group feels their absence. You are in my thoughts and my memories. Bev Lake

Bob will always have a special place in my heart. He and Fran spent a lot of time with mom and dad over the years. Their Volkswagen would stop into the house in Old Barns on a regular bases and the four of them would be off on some adventure. Always laughing about something.
Bob was such a kind man. He will be missed.
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
With love and sympathy,

Kathy, Barb, Ruth, Tim:
Please accept our condolences on your Dad's death. I know these past few years have not been easy for Uncle Bob and for you. It was like that with my father as well. But the last image of him is a picture that Sandy sent around from his 87th birthday gathering, and he looked great! My own memories go back to the summer of 1970, when I lived at your place for the summer while teaching tennis in WIndsor (my first real job!). Your folks were very kind to take me 'on board' as they say, and they made it a very positive experience for me, for which I remain grateful to this day. Uncle Bob's calm, measured and relaxed demeanor, his gentle humour, his intellectual curiosity, his great posture! (From his army days?) I hope we can all gather again next summer when we are able to share family stories. Wishing you all the best and keeping you in our thoughts.

Bob was a favourite of my family. My mother, Madeline was a cousin of Bob's mother Caroline and the relationship with the Bickertons went well beyond that because she lived with them and was like an adopted aunt to the seven siblings. Bob used to say Madeline had eyes in the back of her head, so often did she catch the boys raiding the pantry or the sugar bowl. When my parents lived in Windsor, Ontario and Bob was a member of the armed forces stationed at an Ontario base, he often came to see us. That young soldier in uniform was a sight to behold. Over the years, he kept in touch with my mother to share their mutual recollections of good times. No doubt they're meeting again in the world beyond this one. My condolences to all the Bickerton cousins, in fond remembrance of Bob.
