Age 64, of Timberlea. It is with broken hearts that we share news of Ili's passing on Monday, April 20, 2020 at the Halifax Infirmary Site, QEII, Halifax, due to heart complications. Born in Chalus, Iran on October 4, 1955, he was a son of Amrollah and Tahereh (Khoshkhoo) Moslemi. For the longest time, Ili's children were his pride and joy, and he never went a day without calling them. His capacity for love grew even more with the birth of each of his five grandchildren, and they became the greatest source of joy in his life. Affectionately referred to as Baba by his kids and their friends, he enjoyed socializing with people from all walks of life and made an impact on everyone he met. He found humour everywhere he looked, and always took the opportunity to make others laugh. Ili took great pleasure in feeding loved ones, and always made sure they were full before he put anything on his plate. As a Baha’i, Ili took great pride in encouraging the spiritual development of his children. Ili is survived by the mother of his children, Farzaneh Javanmardi; his children, Amelia Slone; Lua Baker and Nadim Moslemi; brothers, Aala, Ardeshir and Anvar; sisters, Azam, Elaheh and Azar; his adored grandchildren, Daniel, Armand, Oscar, Stanley, and Ava. Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). Due to the COVID-19 restrictions at this time, a private burial service will be held in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor. Donations in memory of Ili may be made to any local food bank.
