Obituary of Katherine Joyce "Kathy" Lantz

Age 66, of Windsor. It is with deep sadness that the family of Katherine announces her passing on Wednesday, February 19th, 2020 in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Windsor, on December 3rd, 1953, she was a daughter of the late Orland and Madge (Lake) Lantz. Kathy’s family and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She enjoyed spending time with friends, watching TV and was always available to listen and give advice. She spent many healthy years camping, bowling and supporting various charities through BINGO. Kathy worked as a PCW, which she enjoyed for many years until her health no longer allowed her to. Kathy is survived by her children, Joshua Carr, Windsor; Jennifer Carr (John Matthews), Sweets Corner and Matthew Carr, Middleton; brother, Marvin Lantz; sisters, Barb (Bernard) Ainsle and Wanda MacArthur; her adored grandchildren and step-grandchildren, Kyle Carr-Hawboldt, Aidan Carr, William Hawboldt and Kaleigh Lerette. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, James Lantz; sisters, Bernice Owens, Myrna Spencer and Mary Wile. Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert Street, Windsor (902-798-8317). In keeping with Kathy’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, March 1st from 2 to 4 p.m., downstairs in the Royal Canadian Legion, Hants County Branch No. 009, 35 Empire Lane, Windsor.
