Trina and family so sorry to hear of Jeff 's passing . I only met you folks once when my neice Shawn along with her mother and myself visited your home on a beautiful, summer afternoon . You may remember how "taken" I was with your home . And when I left I felt as if we had been friends for years . I'm so sorry the years of retirement of you two together was cut short . God 's blessings ! Hold on to the beautiful memories you have and remember to "live a life " as he would have you do . Be happy as in doing so you will continue friendships and activities he was in and make a difference in the world .

Hi Trina, Kyle and Tristan. It has been a long time since our last encounters at the dental office. I was in shock when I came across Jeff's obituary in Tuesday's paper. My thoughts are with your family at this time. I have one story to share with you at this time of sorrow which may bring you a small laugh. Jeff had just purchased a new mercedes and had it parked in front of the dental office. He was in the dental chair waiting to start a procedure. Before starting he insisted that I go outside to see and sit in the new car. We therefore started the dental procedure late but I think I helped make a happy patient! Best wishes for all your future endeavours. Kim

My sincere condolences to Jeff's family on his passing. I got to know Jeff growing up in Upper North Sydney in the 1960's when his Dad was stationed at the RCMP detachment just a few houses away. We went to the same school and played together. Haven't seen Jeff since they transferred out. Just connected with him a few years back through Facebook.
Rest in Peace my friend.

This is sad news. Jeff and I were housemates at Maison Francaise in 1980-81 at Acadia when he was doing this education degree and and I was in first year. With Peter Ledwidge we were were a team to make supper one night a week. Didn't do that bad considering Jeff's down home style and Peter's haute cuisine... Jeff was a friend to many and we lost him too soon. Sending sympathy and hugs.

He tried to build the self-esteem of every child he taught and I made sure he knew how much this was appreciated. He earned the love and respect from his students and will surely be missed.

Jeff and I first met at Acadia in 1977. A long friendship ensued that was cut way too short. I will miss him dearly but will cherish the good times we had together forever. My wife, Ann only met him later but she could also see what a good person he was. He gave so much and asked so little in return. My hear goes out to Trina, Kyle and Tristan (whom I met as babies only), and Nancy.

Being a neighbour, friend, fellow-father of sons, and physician, I got to know this larger-than-life passionate and engaging man.
