Our sincere condolences to the family and extended family of Maureen Salter. She will be remembered by many for a variety of different reasons. We won't forget her kindness, friendly smile, caring nature and genuine interest of others. Lots of good memories of times spent together during and after her time on Evangeline Drive. She was a great neighbour and I always enjoyed our chats and all the times we were together. We shared lots of laughs and a number of adventures.

We are so fortunate to have moved in across the street several years ago. Little did we know then, that we would come to love and treasure our friendship.
Maureen was a smart, classy and funny lady. Fred loved teasing her and it was rare he left the house without first having something thrown at him. Always in fun, of course.
And Martini, certainly was Gramma’s Boy. Not that she spoiled him or anything, but more than once we heard “what happens at Gramma’s house, stays at Gramma’s house.” Whether it be for an afternoon, overnight or a week or two. We learned long ago that we could only refer to Maureen as “M” unless we were planning to take Martini over for a visit right then!
Our heartfelt condolences to Carl, Krista, Scott, Phillip, Darren and all the rest of the family. Maureen made the world a better place and all of us better people just for having known her. She will be deeply missed.

To Maureen's Family: We were shocked and saddened to read of Maureen's passing. Every time you met Maureen, it was as though no time had passed since the last meeting. We always had such a good time at the Hantsport Dances. Worked on committees with her for the Community Centre teas.

Words can not express the deep sadness we are feeling over the loss of such a special lady.
Maureen has been a very special friend to my husband Bobby for many years. Maureen took
Bobby in when things were especially difficult in his home life. Bobby thought of her as a surrogate mother.
Maureen would often take the time to stop by the pharmacy and say hi to me, have a little chat, a laugh or two....
while Carl waited patiently.
Her kindness to others and furry friends will not be forgotten. Gracie loved visiting her on Halloween.
Although we are unable to attend the visitation or the service, all of you are in our thoughts at this very sad time.
Hang on to the great memories of this wonderful lady as it will help you get through the difficult times ahead.

I do not know any of you family members but I knew Maureen when she worked at Cleyels and I was a student nurse and that has been many years !!!She never changed over the years the same friendly .lovely lady she always was.Over the years we would meet up with she and Carl at Saturday morning breakfast somewhere!Carl and my late husband would always talk fire department stuff while Maureen and I chat about something else. I'm so sorry to hear of Maureen's passing. As so many know and have said, she was a gracious, kind, and beautiful soul - with a big smile for everyone. I remember back in the mid-80's, our beagle got off her tether on School Street. After some community inquiries, Maureen called to say she had her, safe and sound. My husband went to retrieve the dog and expected to find it tied-up outside. Oh no. Maureen had her all set up in the livingroom on her beautiful sofa, with food and water on the floor. The poor dog came home to reality quite quickly, and we talked for years about how kind Maureen had been. May all the good memories and smiles surround you in the time to come, and bring you peace.

Maureen was a very big part of my childhood I have many fond memories of Maureen as my neighbour. The endless days my brother and I asked if we could go swimming in the pool, and the endless baseball games in the back field were only a few. Maureen was one of the very first people to see me when my parents brought me home. How special. Rest in beautiful peace Maureen.
