Obituary of Reta Bernice Coffill
The family announces Reta’s death on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at the age of 83.
Born in Harriston (New Ross) on November 25, 1936, she was a daughter of the late John and Lottie (Adams) Power.
Reta worked at the Windsor Elms for a number of years in the Program Department, and also at Windsor House for several years. She was a provincial constable. Reta and Murray had Windsor Bailiff Service for approximately 25 years, taking them far and wide.
Reta loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her best friend and fiancé, Murray Cross, retired police officer, and family; daughters, Peggy (Darroll) Atwell, Melanson; Suzanne (Owen) Smith, Windsor; Cynthia, Singapore; sons, Terry (Cindy), Shad Bay; John (Mary), Ellershouse; five grandchildren; sister, Frances (Henry) Deal; many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Reta was predeceased by sister, Beverly Creemer; granddaughters, Shelly Lyndell Cochrane, Megan and Mallory Coffill.

Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317), where the family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Friday, November 29. A graveside funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, November 30 in Nictaux Cemetery, 8839 Hwy. 10, Nictaux, Rev. Tom Henderson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Reta may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Canada, Atlantic Office, 109 Illsley Ave. Unit #1, Dartmouth, NS B3B 1S8.
