Age 93, of Hants Border, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2019 in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Rawdon, she was a daughter of the late Orrin I. and M. Marjorie (Mitchell) Johnson.

 

Dorothy served during the Second World War in the military, stationed in Ottawa. She then later moved to Fredericton and served there decommissioning troops. Dorothy, together with Vic, loved to travel the world. They loved to dance, hike, camp, you name it, if they thought they could do it they tried and always did things together. She loved crossword puzzles, reading and most of all, her family.

 

Dorothy is survived by her son, Victor Joel Jr. (Dorothy), Wolfville; daughter, Kathy Anne (John) Searle, Edmonton, AB; grandchildren, Kristian (Julie) Page, Margaret Anne Page, Shawn (Kim) Searle and Erin Searle (Jode Gauthier); great-grandchild, Mugen; brothers, Eric (Betty) Johnson, Windsor; Gary (Hazel) Johnson, Penticton, BC; sisters, Marion (Donald) Lane, Mosherville and Kathleen (Graham) Greenough, Woodville.

 

Besides her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her husband of almost 73 years, Victor Joel Sr. (July 2019); brothers, Atwood, Sam and Phillip; sisters, Janet Campbell and Ann Beckerleg.

 

Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). As per Dorothy’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service.
