I just learned of Dawn's passing and I am deeply saddened for her daughter and family and friends. We met in elementary school and reconnected via social media. She texted me almost daily and definitely weekly, always asking "how are you doing today?" She got me through some difficult times with my family or pets. She always listened and empathized with me. Although we didn't live close enough to visit, we had a cherished friendship and I will miss her dearly.

Shocked and sad to see Dawn's obituary in this morning's paper. I met Dawn when she was a student in the class across the hallway from mine at Horton. She would often come in to chat. There was always a cheery wave when she worked at Superstore and if there was time for a few words she would always bring me up to date on her little daughter. Just a week ago I met Dawn in town and again she was telling me about Vera. Vera, you were her always on her mind and in her heart. I feel very sad for your loss and hope you will be surrounded with loving family that will help you bear your sorrow.

I am so sorry to be reading of Dawn’s passing. Although I didn’t know her I always admired her as I used to see her walking every day and noticed she was always on the go. Most times I’d see her with her daughter. I’m so sorry for little Vera and my condolences go out to the rest of her family.

Don and Myself have known Dawn for some time. She and George lived next door to one of our rental properties in Windsor. Her work ethic was always apparent. She was always on the go. Then along came Vera. Anyone could tell how much Dawn loved that little girl. She was always smiling when you would see them walking down the street hand in hand. Remember Vera, your Mom is always going to be looking out for you. Be open to her messages as they come to you. God Bless Little One.. RIP Dawn. You will be missed
