Obituary of Joyce Louise Folker

Age 81, of Windsor passed away Monday, October 14, 2019 in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII, Halifax. She was the daughter of the late Waldo and Edith (Coldwell) Frizzle. 

She is survived by her friend and life partner, Harry Pemberton; her children, Dawne (Michael Tickell), Debbie Folker, Harvey (Shelley Gillot), Wendy (Dwayne Latta); grandchildren, Jeff, Shannen, Micayla, Christy, Melissa, Sara and Jessie; great-grandchildren, Sienna, Emilia, Kinley and sister, Joan (Ron) Dion and brother, Don (Diana Herrington) Frizzle. She was predeceased by her son, Steve (Yvonne); brother, Bev Frizzle and her former husband, Grant Folker.

Joyce was a strong and resilient woman. Joyce loved her days on the beach, long drives on backroads, playing games and was a particularly fierce scrabble competitor.  

Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). There will be a public graveside service on Thursday, October 24th at 1:00 p.m. in Maplewood Cemetery, 1186 King St., Windsor, Rev. Jennifer Riley officiating.
