Obituary of Fanny Moore

Age 94, of Windsor, formerly of Hants Border, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Haliburton Place, Windsor, her home for the last seven years. Born March 19, 1925 in Bay Roberts, Newfoundland, Fanny was a daughter of the late Edward Ralph and Annie Blanche (Titford) Wilcox.

 

Fanny operated Moore’s Canteen in Hants Border for years. She was a longtime member of St. Andrew’s Anglican Church in Hantsport, where she was warden and choir member. She was a past member of Rebekah Lodge for 36 years, Hantsport Elders and the Lucknow Branch 109 Ladies Auxiliary, Hantsport.

 

Fanny is survived by daughter, Annie May (Banford) Walsh; grandsons, Shawn and Todd Walsh; and several nieces and nephews.

 

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by husband, G. Frederick Moore; sister, Dorothy (Gus) Moore; brother, Eddie (Frances) Wilcox.

 

Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 11 in St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, 59 Main St., Hantsport, Rev. Tom Henderson officiating. Interment will follow in Riverbank Cemetery, Riverbank Dr., Hantsport. A reception will be held in the church hall. No flowers by request.
