Very sad news. Worked with Andy at EastLink. Enjoyed every minute we worked together and learned a lot from him. He was a dependable, straight shooting guy. Haven’t seen him since I left EastLink but thought of him often. He will be missed.

Carol, Fred, Allison, Graham and your families,
I was so sorry to hear of Andy's passing. We didn't have the same relationship as some families as we lived in different provinces growing up. I do remember always seeing Andy and all his family very briefly in the summer when you were visiting your grandmother,my Aunt Lyda (Lala) my grandmother's twin sister.
Mom (Wanda) and her sisters Lois and Muriel kept in very close touch over the years so we were always informed of what was going on with the family members.
After they passed, in the early 2000s I got a call from Andy when I was living in Riverview. It was really great getting to see him and get an update on everyone. We also realized we worked for each others competors - East Link vs Bell Aliant!
Unfortunately I moved to Quispamsis, retired and life got in the way where we lost touch again but I was thankful for having that great memory
Andy is at peace now and you have so many wonderful memories to cherish XOX

My heartfelt condolences to Carol, and family. Although Andy and I were cousins our paths have not crossed very often. I met friends at every turn that knew the Andy and the Notts. Gary Poole, Larry Chestnut, Linkletter twins and others. Our Grandmothers were twin sisters. Lyda and Mina...we visited more frequently as children in Bathurst and the North Shoe of New Brunswick. I coincidentally ended up working at the same country club in Montreal as Fred, during that time I also frequented many of the same places likely unknowingly at the same time...I did get to meet later in life thru mutual friend Larry Chestnut In Peterborough. Interesting I also coincidentally had an encounter with a person from one of the distant Branches of the Branch family with whom we would have had the same great, great, great, great maternal Grandparents ... quite a coincidence.
In any case sad to hear of the passing of my cousin Andy who has always been in my thoughts and memories as I have coincidentally met many mutual friends over the years!
Sincerely
Terry Atkins

Although not unexpected, I am deeply saddened by the loss of Andy. We met at John Rennie High School and were in the same classes over the years.
Later in life there was a knock on my door on Larchwood Avenue in Peterborough and to my surprise it was Andy! Coincidentally his mother lived a couple of houses over on the next street behind us.
We renewed our friendship, played many rounds of golf together and enjoyed socializing with mutual friends until, Andy and Carol moved to the east coast.
More recently we connected by phone, and I was informed of his Leukemia. Latterly we had many long phone conversations, catching up and reminising about "the good old days."
Andy was the calmest, most even tempered, easiest going person I have had pleasure to meet. He will be greatly missed!
My deepest condolences go out to Carol, and the family, on the loss of a wonderful man.

Carol, I am so sorry and sad to hear of Andy's passing. Gone far too soon. He was a wonderful man, so friendly and kind.
My memories go way back. We lived across the street from each other and our Moms were close friends. Allison and Andy and I (and Wendy and Natalie) played happily together in my sandbox and on my swings. We loved having popsicles...lots of them homemade and we would run house to house to get treats.
Many Summer afternoons we spent swimming in the pool at Lakeside Heights Park, then outside playing 'Hide 'N 'Seek' after supper until the street lights came on. Those were the days my friend; we thought they'd never end. What a great childhood we had on Circle Road.
May he Rest in Peace.
Hugs,
Helen & Roy Hood
